Yoga for Pregnancy and Beyond
Pregnancy Yoga is a way to promote and encourage a positive, healthy environment for mother and child. A simple process of movement, stretching, breathing and positive awareness to encourage maximum health. Breathing and relaxation techniques are used to help maintain focus, calmness and relaxation throughout the pregnancy and delivery. In conjunction with gentle cardiovascular exercises, yoga can allow for a faster, easier and less painful labour.
Women are encouraged to join classes at the end of their first trimester of pregnancy. However it is never too late to join a class, even if you are in your eight month.
These yoga classes are gentle, safe, beneficial and specifically for pregnant women and their babies. It is important to confirm with your doctor or midwife that it is alright to attend classes.
